Morning note

The Top 40 gained over 1% on Friday with broad based buying of resource shares.  The Gold price rally helped Anglogold gain 6.3%.  Both Billiton and Anglo American gained 3%.  Luxury goods manufacturer Richemont gained over 6% despite reporting mixed results.
